Reference Library

Correct source of information must precede correct actions. Moreover, knowledge is that which shapes our perception of the world and how individuals then choose to respond. The importance of knowledge as a tool to achieve well is of paramount importance.

Holding true to this axiom Al-Nasr Trust, on 9th April 1993, inaugurated the Islamic Reference Library. The aim: to further a better understanding of Islam and British Muslims amid the indigenous population and the Muslims!

The reference library anticipates three types of assemblage the non-Muslim, the ‘mature’ Muslim and the ‘young’ Muslim. Each category of attendance makes different demands and the library intends to satisfy all. For many reasons, the ‘young’ Muslim category is expected to make most use of the facilities.

Therefore, this age group does and will merit a higher proportional allocation of the library resources.

In keeping with the modern trend of audio-visual teaching aids, a large selection in audio, video cassettes, DVDs comprising of lectures and documentaries is stocked.
